International Diploma (Part Two) - Diploma

The Diploma Course requires students to attend on eight intermittent weekends. Tuition is practical and intensive and there is continuous assessment of each student's progress. In addition, time is made available to discuss any problems that may have been encountered during the intervening weeks. Required home study consists of reading recommended text books and the submission of three 1500 - 3000 word essays.

Eligibility

The Part One Certificate is the minimum requirement for a place on the Diploma Course. Upon acceptance, students will need to apply, and be accepted, for Affiliate Membership of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (Australia) - designating letters BSCH(Affil). As Affiliate Members, Diploma Course students are required to obtain professional indemnity insurance that will cover them for malpractice.

BSCH Affiliates may, under strict clinical supervision, begin to practise as trainee hypnotherapists in certain non-clinical cases such as smoking, slimming, confidence and stress related problems. In fact, a number of our students - now successful practitioners - have been able, partially or fully, to finance their studies through such activities.

British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH)

The British Society of Clinical Hypnosis is a professional body which governs the Code of Practice and Ethics of its Members. The BSCH code of Practice and Ethics applies to all members of the Society and all students in training with the LCCH, even prior to eligibility for Affiliate membership.
Holders of the Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (D.Hyp.) shall be accepted for Associate Membership of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis - BSCH(Assoc). Full Membership shall be open to Associates who undertake the required further training - within four years of passing their Diploma exam - by attending the LCCH Practitioner Diploma Course and/or other BSCH accredited training programmes. Full Members are entitled to use the designating letters MBSCH.
Members of the BSCH are required to sign a formal Code of Conduct, thus maintaining the highest ethical standards of professional practice within the field of hypnotherapy. www.bsch.org.uk

Student Liaison Office and back-up

We find that many of our applicants welcome the opportunity to talk to a student liaison officer so that they can ask more about the details of the course, methods of study, fee arrangements, and the amount of work involved. During their studies, they may need information or help with matters outside the scope of their supervision. Once qualified, they may also need advice and support in their practice.

The LCCH has always maintained a close and special relationship with former students and they are encouraged to keep in touch with the College. Many of our graduates who become successful practitioners go on to supervise/lecture for the College. For every practitioner with a difficult case there is always someone a phone call or e-mail away at one of our student liaison centres to assist with practical advice.

Mary McCallum Scholarship

The LCCH proudly offers the ‘Mary McCallum Scholarship’ for the benefit of charitable organisations and their users.
