The London College of Clinical Hypnosis (Medical) additionally presents undergraduate programmes in Clinical Hypnosis in Medical Schools throughout the UK in the form of Special Study Modules. The first of these modules (2002) was presented at Oxford University Medical School, followed by the Exeter University Peninsula Medical School, Plymouth and at Barts and the London Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry. Other SSMs are being presented at St George's Medical School, London, and the University of Newcastle Medical School. The University of Dundee School of Dentistry are including a clinical hypnosis module in conjunction with the LCCH as part of their MDSc in Dental Anxiety, and have accredited it to 30 CAT (fully transferable University credits) points. The SSM modules range in length from 12 hours to 8 weeks and are the first of their kind in the UK.
The LCCH presents frequent masterclasses on topics of interest where individuals from other hypnotherapy organisations are also invited to attend. People who have trained with the LCCH are able to keep in touch at these meetings and can meet and discuss new ideas and techniques with fellow hypnotherapy professionals. Our masterclasses provide an ideal opportunity for such periodic contact. |
